Name: Tidus
Series: Final Fantasy X AU.
Canon-Point: Around 75 years post-canon, before he enters the Glitchverse.
History: His history is mostly-canon (from here) until Yuna and her guardians, him included, meets with Yunalesca. Except for one major difference... during the sending of Jyscal, Auron ended up vanishing. Nobody knew where he went, but he was sent.
Because of this, Tidus didn't have the courage to stop the spiral of death, the one his father wished to stop. It was a hard desision for Yuna - until Tidus sacrificed himself. He doesn't have any attachment to this world, except for her... everybody else can celebrate the Calm, at least.
And so... Yunalesca created the final Aeon, along with Yuna and Tidus, and the Calm came. But... that wasn't good, for Tidus. Though he managed to defeat his father, and Sin, for those years... while Yu Yevon possessed him, corrupted him, created Sin once more. As well as forced him to kill Yuna...
Other summoners have started their pilgrimages to continue the spiral, other people have fallen to him. Tidus is still awake, as well.
He's lost track of time. He's basically lost it all, but deep inside, he hopes something can stop him, because he was too weak to stop it himself.
He still slumbers, having become Sin so far, not knowing how long it's been for him. Soon, a beast shall appear to him... but not yet.
Personality: If I was to choose one word to describe Tidus in his current state, it'd be... Regret. Regret about destroying the world, regret about destroying Yuna. In canon, he wasn't a depressed sort-of guy, but after spending who knows how many years as Sin? Well, yeah. He's had time to think about his regrets, as he's been held and possessed by Yu Yevon.
But how is he when he's freed, here in Unova? He's quite broken, though he tries to mask it with a smile and a laugh. Like he was taught on his Pilgrimage! He seems, from all outside appearances, to be cheerful and playful, not letting himself frown. He's a sportsman, though and though, and won't give up a chance to kick the Blitzball around.
However, he is selfless. He'll protect those he cares for... even if it means avoiding them, being such a dangerous beast. He's unsure of what's going to happen, not having been destroyed. Will he return to being the beast? He's not sure. However, he won't share these fears with most people, not those he doesn't know. There's no point! He'll just laugh off questions of his darkness, and try and go back to the cheerful guy he was.
His deepest desire is to be defeated, of course. He wants to end it.
Powers: Hoohboy. Since he was an Aeon, and inside Sin, well... there's a lot to go though here. But first, let's go over his canon abilities, that he has. Tidus is a speedster, who uses a sword, along with a bit of Time Magic. He can also hold his breathe for ages, since he's a Blitzballer, and can kick that ball around the best. Because, y'know, he's the ace. He could also use his Blitzball as a weapon, though that was more Wakkas thing.
As an Aeon, he became a very Leviathan-like creature (my own art coming later), a sea-bound beast of darkness. He could create waves, he could swim so powerfully, he could control the seas themselves. He was a quite dangerous Aeon, especially seeing as what Spira is like. Y'know, all the sea.
And as Sin? Well, he was undefeatable in most ways, able to protect himself from most attacks, and able to use Gravity-based spells. Oh, and he can also spawn creatures from himself, which he can also reabsorb. Basically, he was a force for destruction.
His power lowering will take away most of his invincibility (he'll feel attacks, but it'll be more RPG-hero like reactions, y'know he doesn't bleed until he's critically hurt), as well as his connection to the sea - he'll be able to shoot water, but more of a water gun instead of a surf. He kind of looks like this. He'll also be able to understand Pokemon of the sea.

Writing Samples
First-Person Sample: [Tidus was sitting underwater, as he spoke. How? Who knew. His tail flickered, his smile unwavering.]
So, uh... [...] What's the point of being a trainer, if you don't want to go home?
[He's just looking around, at the surface.] Is there a point? Because, if not, I might as well join the Baccer league and have fun there! Or maybe start a Blitzball league... anybody else have Blitzball?
Third-Person Sample: ...The beach. How long had it been since he'd seen it without destroying it? Years? Decades? He'd lost track, his body controlled by other forces, his mind faded.
But, as he felt his feet - his toes - hit the ground, he couldn't help but smile. He was safe now, wasn't he? Those two had helped him so much.
He couldn't help but let out a sigh, sitting down. The sun looked rather beautiful, at sunset. It's really the little things you miss, when you're trapped as... well.
He didn't wish to turn his thoughts to home. It was too sad. Perhaps, with him here, the Calm would last for a nice, long time.
The sea... it spread around him. Standing, one step, then another. His legs carried him down - he felt his gills opening, his body starting to breathe the water. It felt nice. His thoughts filled with the thoughts of... well, the sea. Pokemon swam by, giving only a glance to the man-like creature sitting there, looking upwards.
"If only they had Blitzball here!" he said, with a sad laugh, "It'd sure be fun!"
...Wait. He saw something in the distance. Ruins...? Hm. He started to swim over. He had a hunch - it might be related to the Al Bhed...? Hm. He suddenly grabbed his machina phone, to let everybody know. It looked cool!
